Organic Baby Skin Products
It makes sense to treat your baby with organic baby skin products, they are made from the purest ingredients. Babies have extremely sensitive skin that requires a mild and gentle touch.
Many popular products, trusted by parents to clean and moisturize their babies, actually contain un-natural ingredients and agents that can do more harm than good.
FOR EXAMPLE:
Foaming agent “sodium lauryl sulfate”, which is used to create the pleasant foamy lather, is known to remove the skin's protective outer layer and make your baby susceptible to toxins entering their body.
As a parent, you want only the best for your children. You feed them the right foods, make sure they get exercise, read books to them and spend most of your time and energy helping them. But you may also be putting them at risk for rashes or allergic reactions as a result of the lotions, shampoos, and diaper creams you use on a daily basis. They need organic baby skin products.
We all know that babies have delicate skin, but did you know that a baby’s skin is five times thinner than that of an adult? As a result, their skin is at much higher a risk for irritation by harsh chemicals found in many skincare products.
While irritation can occur from synthetic fragrances, humectants, and surfactants (products used to create lather in soaps and shampoos), the real danger may lurk in the preservatives.
Preservatives
are a necessary part of any product and play an important role in limiting the growth of bacteria but could harm delicate skin. Preservatives such as sodium benzoate and potassium sorbate are relatively safe since they are mostly salt, but can still irritate a baby’s skin.
However, many baby products contain parabens (a class of preservatives),
- Methyl
- Ethyl
- Propel
- Butyl paraben,
which act like hormones and disrupt the body’s immune system.
When parabens are applied to the skin in a cream or lotion, they are absorbed directly into the body. Although it is not yet proven that parabens are the sole culprits in this health crisis. No organic baby skin products have these ingredients!!
These parents are looking for a safer, gentler alternative (organic baby skin products) to the synthetic preservatives found in most baby products.
I invite you to join me into committing yourself to read each and every label of skincare products BEFORE you apply it to your child’s skin. Parents owe it to themselves and their children to know all about the products they use. TRY Organic Baby Skin Products!
Remember that commercial by Johnson and Johnson, so gentle a baby can use it. Well, it not even gentle enough for an adult. Can you imagine what it is doing to your children? There is great concern due the fact that these Baby Shampoo and Baby Wash products advertised by this company has cancer causing chemical 1,4-dioxane.
Just what is 1,4-dioxane?
1,4-Dioxane is a petroleum-derived contaminant considered a human carcinogen by the U.S. EPA and a animal carcinogen by the National Toxicology Program.
Remember, that your baby’s skin is much more thinner (at least 5x) than an adult. When adding lotion to your skin, it gets absorbed into your skin and then into your bloodstream. This concept affect for children and your baby and because their skin is thinner the harm is much greater!
So why take the risk? My feeling is why should ANYONE in your family be exposed to this danger? It is up to you and me, as educated parents, to steer clear of chemicals like 1,4-dioxane because the FDA DOES NOT regulate chemicals in bath products.
What is even worse and is cause for total outrage is the fact that these companies, who I so refer as “The Big Wigs”, will spend huge amounts of money on ads which persuade parents and entice children into buying these bath products, yet will not spend a dime to eliminates these contaminants.
Here is a list of products with the chemical 1,4-dioxane:
